Breeder Code Of Ethics & Linking Requirements -

 

     

    Breeder Code Of Ethics for Listing:

    Below you will find the list for CODE OF ETHICS that our breeders/stud dog owners must meet in order to be listed on Fox Red Labrador Retriever Breeder Resources. For breeders/stud dog owners that qualify and would be interested in Joining this ELITE group, we would be honored to have you list. We as a group can make a difference in the develop and improvement of Fox Red Labradors genetic integrity.

    Fox Red Labrador Retriever Breeder Resources does require a link back to us to be listed. Linking information is provided below.


    All Breeding stock used for breeding must be fully tested. Although OFA will not certify the hips or elbows of any dogs before the age of TWO, our breeders are required to obtain a Prelim from the OFA to show their dogs suitable to be used as breeding stock or have Pennhip certified clearances on the hips. If breeding before 2 years of age. Breeders living outside the US, must provide us with copies of clearances from their health registries.
     

    Tests required for the Breeding of Labrador Retrievers is as follows:

    1. Hips OFA, Pennhip, OVC, or other Foreign Registries

    2. Elbows OFA, OVC, or other Foreign Registries

    3. Eyes (CERF) Required Yearly or other Foreign Registries

    4. Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) DNA Tested

    5. Progessive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) DNA Tested

    (Optional testing)

    6. Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM) DNA Tested

    7. Retinal Dysplasia/OSD (RD/OSD) DNA Tested

    8. Heart

    Breeders must supply copies of all REQUIRED tests before listing Puppies, Litters, or Stud Dogs on Fox Red Labrador Breeder Resources. Contact us at foxredbreeders@yahoo.com
